What is the Program?

Lake County has funding available to remove existing septic tanks and install a new Distributed Wastewater Treatment Unit. This funding will cover approximately 130 conversions and covers the entire cost of the removal and replacement.

To be eligible, the property must be in unincorporated Lake County and within a Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) area. Properties located outside of BMAP boundaries or within the municipal city limits of any city in Lake County are not eligible at this time.
